Programme -- Schedule -- Week 4

Week 4
For two days of the fourth week (w4) the main focus is still on student projects. During this period we plan to have additional specialist lectures, that are complementary to the more general regular lectures, and will be delivered by internationally known speakers in the field of particle physics, astronomy and astrophysics. All Special Lectures are in Lecture Theatre 6 [LT6] on the 1st floor (also known as E floor) in the Hicks Building.
After the excursion to Jodrell Bank, during the last two days of this week students give oral presentations (approx 10 mins + 5 mins for questions) on their own projects. All Student Presentations are in Lecture Theatre 6 [LT6] on the 1st floor (also known as E floor) in the Hicks Building. We encourage the students to make presentation and there will be a “best presentation” competition both in particle physics and in astronomy. SL: Special Lecture; PW: Project Work; JBO: Jodrell Bank Observatory; SP: Student Presentation.
